The Canadian Branch of the Democratic Labour Party was recently Launched by
the President of the Party, Comrade David Thompson. Comrade Thompson was
accompanied on the trip to launch the Branch by Senator Dr. Denis Lowe, Ronald
Jones. MP., Adriel Brathwaite, Candidate for St. Philip South, Pedro Stanford,
Member.
During the three day stay members of the Canadian Branch were updated on the
constitution of the party, the use of technology to promote the Branch and Party
pass books were presented to new members. The Canadian Branch held a Gala
opening to cement the Launch of the Branch. Over two hundred Barbadians and
friends were present at the Meadowvale Delta Hotel to celebrate the grand
occasion.
